Conference Venue 2022

Opstal Country Lodge near Oudtschoorn is a four star accredited tourism, events & accommodation facility. De Opstal lies in a charming valley surrounded by an abundance of trees and indigenous flora that is always one with the blue dome of the sun-splashed sky, bringing endless delight and wonderment.

Oudtshoorn is in the heart of the Klein Karoo – a 40 to 60 km wide valley. To the south the Outeniqua Mountains separate it from the well-watered Garden Route, and to the north the Swartberg Mountains separate it from the Large Karoo. Although it is semi-arid it is classified as a bio-diversity hotspot with 3200 plant species. The area is famous for the Cango Caves, the ostrich industry, and the Klein Karoo Nasionale Kunstefees (yearly arts festival). The conference venue, DE OPSTAL, is on the R328, halfway between Oudtshoorn and the Cango Caves and less than a km from Cango Ostrich Farm .

The conference fee includes midmorning and afternoon teas, lunches and evening meals. The evening meals include social events such as the Student Quiz, and Rural Award Ceremony.

Delegate Fees do not include accommodation.
